"As hard as we try to take care of our family sometimes we fall short of our nutritional needs and without this Pantry times would be so much worse. In time of need I truly appreciate the kindness of our community and will truly pay it forward when I can. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
"The Hanson Food Pantry has been a blessing-at 60 some odd years old and just this side of 70-I am raising my grandkids. Without this help to not only fill in the blanks but some months it is the only source of food and some staples. One of the hardest obstacles to overcome is the embarrassment of needing this service-but without the food pantry my grandkids would be in jeopardy. A new found respect and awareness for community is always with me. Thank you."
"We are a family of 6 children ages ranging form 11 to 21, without the food pantry our family would go hungry. In 2015 you would not think hunger would be an issue but it is. It pains me to see my own children asking for food we can't afford. One day before I left to go to the food pantry my 11 year old asked for chocolate chip cookies, I told her I am not sure but that I would ask. One thing that the food pantry does it tries to help with foods that are good for people who have diabetes and heart disease, example low salt foods. It is a bonus when there are treats for the kids something unexpected. I/we cannot afford Stop and Shop, Shaws, or Hannafords, we just don't have the funds. At first it was very emotional to come to the food pantry. I was crying because I didn't know where to turn to feed my family. It was hard to accept the help. The people at the food pantry were so kind and understanding. Every item we get from the pantry is used. Any fresh vegetables I get I freeze to use later. I have noticed there are more new people coming to the Pantry. It is so needed. We would not survive with out this Pantry. Thanks."
